Today’s the day !  All the winning photos of the Mattel Mad Men photo contest will be posted on the Barbie Collector website . Even though I am one of the first place winners, I am just as excited as every one else to see the winning entries – especially the Grand Prize!

Without further ado, here is my winning entry:

“Flowers for Joan”

Here we see “Joan”,( originally a Fashion Editor Silkstone Barbie, customized by me) in her darling apartment. Joan is taking time to enjoy a little beauty from an admirer in her vintage  Barbie, “On the Avenue ” sheath.

We were only allowed to enter one photo for the contest, so, here are some more pictures from the photo session for you to see.

The winning photos were viewed not only by Mattel, but AMC ,(the tv station who runs the series) and the creators of Mad Men as well ! What an honor to be chosen!

Now,  for those of us who admire the show and are saddened by the all too soon series finale Sunday night, here are some of my Mad Men inspired photos for you to enjoy.

Next is a “Welcome Home”  Mad Men inspired set exclusive for 2010 Barbie Convention – “Mid Century Modern Cocktails” . The wet bar is made from gold acrylic and black felt appliqued flowers adorne the front ! :
