Grant A Wish – Donation

Hello Everyone

I have been asked again this year,to donate to the Grant A Wish Live Auction.

All proceeds go to 3 wonderful charities!

I feel honored to have been asked, and for the chance to give something back through My Art. If you are attending this event, I hope you have the opportunity to bid high and often on any of the artists contributions.

“Mid Century Charmer”

Barbie, our all time favorite fashion model, shows us that style and fine living is not limited to clothing, but extends to our homes as well!
Here she is, with all of her charms, enjoying her mid-century dwelling.

Barbie’s living area features a free-standing fireplace wall with lively plants filling the firebox. A string of mini LEDs, light the flora.

Adrian Pearsall-style wall clock keeps Barbie right on time!

The free-standing, faux glass wall provides light and serves as a room partition.

Barbies’ sofa is long and lovely! It features red flocked taffeta upholstery and tapered legs.

A double tiered coffee table makes the perfect statement and houses several accessories.

Floor lamp with decorative shade is also included.

Barbie doll is a reproduction doll who has had her hair and makeup re-imagined for a more vintage look. She is wearing authentic vintage Barbie clothing and is included in the set.

“Mid Century Charmer” was designed, created and donated by Maryann Roy – Furniture and Set Design in 1:6 scale.

It’s gorgeous Maryann! And I love the clock! I’ve had my eye on making that one for a while now, but a wood version. I love the solid gold one you made.

Thanks Don – Actually, I have made that clock several times. This is just another version of it. You can see the original by clicking on the “Mid Century Modern House” page.
