Work in progress

If you follow Me on Instagram or Facebook, you may have seen some recent snaps of work on a new set.

Although things don’t always happen in this order, I thought it might be fun and different to show some pictures of  My creative process and how some things come to be.

Thanks for your interest!

1-5-18 – Snowy day here – Work begins on a new set

1-8-18 – Two walls ready for paint!

1-9-18 – Me painting paper “drapes”!  (Instagram Video – please click the arrow to view)

1-9 -18 –  Painting on Paper “drapes” complete

1-12-18 –  The space unveiled – Yes, the stairwell wall is lit from above!

I am not certain yet, what pieces I will make to fill this room. It has a bit of a 40’s/50’s vibe to it. However, some correctly chosen pieces could make it quite a splendid room indeed! A bit of glamour perhaps?

*This set will be available for sale once complete.

  1. What a wonderful glimpse into your creative mind and I look so forward to seeing how this set unfolds. I know that my own process never starts with a clear vision but just an inkling of an idea, then I just go with whatever direction it takes, gives me a chance to be surprised myself. I learn something new about what I do everyday. happy creating!!

This is very exciting, Maryann, thank you for sharing! Wow, you do great stairs. I still have to learn how to do them realistically. The hand painting is absolutely marvelous! Also, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Love the color combinations that you’ve used, which immediately speaks mid-50’s to me
